Char Grilled Razor Clams

Enjoy the tender and juicy razor clams.


  • 10 large razor clams
  • 1 table spoon of crushed roasted peanuts
  • 1 sliced chili (Bird’s eye)
  • 1 table spoon of sea salt
  • 1/2 table spoon finely ground white pepper
  • 1 tbsp lime juice


  1. Soak clams in salted water and black pepper for around 25 minutes. This will push the clams to spit out sand. Repeat this process until done.
  2. Take a mortar and pestle and pound the chili and coriander together to make the dressing.
  3. Add this paste with remaining ingredients in the medium size bowl and mix it well.
  4. Heat a pan to high temperature. Chargrill all the clams for 5 minutes. After they open to continue to grill them for more 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle crushed peanuts, garnish with the chili and serve with the steamed rice.
